Kiwi!

An apparently funny, objectively stupid, and ultimately touching short graphic animation that evokes a seemingly superficial side of me. Presenting, Kiwi.... (Thanks to Roxie for reminding me about this)

Kiwi can't fly, he can never fly.... Yet he wants to feel, to experience, the greatest leap any bird can ever achieve. Even if he already knows it isn't possible, he takes the risk, the chance. Even if everything he wants is an end in itself... a sad end at that....

----------

There's a time when a man needs to fight and a time when he needs to accept that his destiny's lost, the ship has sailed and that only a fool will continue. The truth is I've always been a fool.

- Ed Bloom from the film Big Fish

how cute
how sad
how inspiring.

this is a nice clip.
i heard from a friend that when he ask old people in shelters, "what is their greatest regret?"
their common answer was
"i should have taken the risk"

The kiwi video, its sad albeit inspiring. That video reminded me of *the things a person/thing/animal would do just to attain his happiness and purpose. Kudos to the kiwi, and you, drake, for the determination for doing the thing that *really matters. You risked it all drake, though it got a little haywire in the middle, at least you're alive and breathing in the end.

Hope you're getting well drake. Be well always. I'll always be here for you. =)

@Chase: I would certainly agree on that. Life's all risks. Thanks Chase!
@Beejing: Gracias!
@Ruff: As always, thanks for your unending thoughtfulness.
@Chase, Beejing, Ruff: This video clip really is bittersweet.
